Rentlessly Red :That's so Vintage

Hello lovelies

I wore this outfit last week Friday. It was my mum's birthday and we went to Leeds for the day. We did some shopping and went out for a lovely meal. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

So relentlessly red isn't just the name of the lipstick I wore with this outfit. This dress is from the deep recesses of my vintage closet. It is actually red with white lines. It is an 80s  teadress ( I know it kind of looks like a 50s dress). I bought this dress at a vintage  kilo sale in Liverpool 2 years ago. I paired my dress with the animal print Tuxedo jacket I got from Dorothy Perkins 3 years ago. I felt like being quirky as I have been living in my jeans lately and I've missed my 'hippy dressing' ( as my mum calls it).

Just to let you guys know I have relaunched my vintage label on eBay. If you like how I stlye my pieces ( I haven't been doing that too well but that is going to change) and want some of your own fabulous vintage finds then please check out my eBay shop here .

You can also follow Tiwi's Closet Vintage on Instagram (@tiwisclosetvintage) and Facebook  for daily updates on new stock and styling ideas. I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.

Have a lovely week

OOTD: Culture Vault

Hello Lovelies

Last week I spent most of my time back in Liverpool. Liverpool is my city simply because I went to uni there and I met some of the most amazing people there. Going back was different, it felt strange and I could tell that I've grown up. When I graduated last year I didn't want to leave you should have seen me, fast forward 9 months later and I'm happier and wiser.

So Why did I go to Liverpool then? Two reasons. I was asked to be part of an annual show hosted by the African Caribbean society called the culture vault. I also arranged a Tiwi's Closet photoshoot in Liverpool     (big shout out to all my lovely models who braved the cold wind at the Albert Docks).

Today I'll be sharing what I wore for the main event. It is an African print 1950s inspired dress that my friend's mum had made for me ( Thank you Veve and auntie ) . I paired it with my orange low heel shoes from ASOS and my statement crocodile earrings from ASOS as well. I got to try out one of my new lipsticks. It's called Relentlessly red by MAC. I'm trying new things this year especially with shoes hence the low heel.

Excuse the messy background.
