2014 is the year of the 1950s silhouette for me. It's flattering , glamorous and feminine . So I spent my weekend in Manchester visiting some family friends. I had a blast and I was inspired by a lovely lady I met. I haven't done a Sunday OOTD in while and I'm glad I got the chance to dress up. I wore a wasp waist full skirt with mesh paneling from Topshop and paired with a motif t-shirt from Primark. The T-shirt was the inspiration for this look. While I was in Liverpool I saw the T-shirt in Primark ( it's only £5 or £6) and I loved the picture and the words on it. You guys know I am all about personal style and not just following trends. This outfit is something I have never tried and I can confidently say that I am loving this more grown up look. You will notice a lot of red in this outfit. Red by default is becoming my favourite colour.
I can't complain.
The skirt and top are new to my wardrobe. The Skirt might still be available in store ( check the sale section of your Topshop) . I know for a fact it isn't available online on the Topshop website but. The shoes are from Newlook and the bag from Zara . I got these last year so I highly doubt they would still be online or in store My coat is from a charity shop it was only £10 and I love it. It goes with everything.
Be inspired to try the 50s :
I hope you have a blessed week.
