The best of 2013

Hello lovelies

2013 has been a wonderful year for Tiwi's Closet and for me. I've graduated university and I am looking at the next stage in life. Tiwi's closet had an awesome year from catwalks to photo shoots it has been beautiful. I relaunched the Tiwi's Closet blog on a bigger and better scale.

At the beginning of this year I was scared and miserable and I can happily say that I am leaving 2013 older, wiser and happier. I feel blessed and I know that I am not the same person I was at the beginning of this year. I've become more confident in my abilities and I've had major life changes that I am implementing.

I thought I would share some of my best moments this year. Hope you enjoy. I have new years resolutions they don't involve entirely new things. I will be building and expanding on what I have started this year.

2013's best moments. It's awesome seeing my year in pictures. I feel that my style this year was very laid back and I want to crank it up a notch in 2014. Every year is about learning , growing and improving and I plan on doing that.

And on this last picture I hope you guys have had a productive year and that you will have an even happier new year.

Tiwi's Closet products are divided into two parts. Vintage and PreLoved. PreLoved items are items from your everyday stores that reflect the Tiwi's closet style ( vintage and unique). Winter faves : Nailpolish and Lipstick edition

Hello lovelies

You will probably here me say this phrase 'I'm not much of a makeup person' a lot. One thing I do love is lipstick and more recently nail polish. Winter never used to exist in Tiwi land. I remember telling someone that in January summer began for me. That's because I wasn't confident in my winter wardrobe and at the time I had an obsession with flimsy dresses. I hated wearing the same coat all the time .

Winter is all about going for darker shades. It took a bit of convincing from YouTube and other sources but I've learnt to try new things. I'm quickly falling in love with darker more intense lipsticks and I'm loving it.

My winter colours consists of reds, neutrals, purples and black. Just thought I should add that lip liner is your best friend. It helps give definition to the lips, you can create new exciting shades with your lip liner and lipstick. If your not sold on liner then at least invest in a brown liner.

This is one of the looks I created. I used exxagerate by sleek, a black cheery lip liner by Barry M and black cherry by sleek. I love it. 

Lipstick:

I would say that the nude and red shades are all year round faves, but I still felt the need to include them. 

Nail Polishes :

When it comes to nail polish it has always been about bright colours for me. I was never a fan of dark colours until I stole a friend's dark purple nail varnish and it  looked amazing on me. So recently I went on a hunt for that nail varnish but couldn't find it ( typical). I did however find some other amazing colours and I've added pastel colours to my new favourites.

OOTD: leather , fur and purple lipstick

Hello lovelies

I actually forgot to post this look last weekend. I wore this look on another one of my infamous sister dates with my little sis. This outfit is very shopping / day out friendly. Kept me warm and fuzzy.

 I finally found some paneled leather leggings in Dorothy Perkins.So far I love them the only down side is that they are a bit big so they do that bunching up thing. Still love them though. I also finally got those new type cross over blouses. I love this animal print one also from Dorothy Perkins. I want to invest in a black and white stripped one and a white one. You can't go wrong with black and white.

This look is part of my standard everyday winter look. 

 For anyone interested they are from my charity shop raids. Together they cost £8.50. You guys know that I am all about fashion that doesn't break the bank so I had to get these two. Lately I have been buying a lot of outerwear. Post any body? Surprisingly I haven't found my winter coat yet?

Tiwi's closet brand

The Tiwi's Closet brand has existed for 2 years. it was founded by Tiwi (me). Originally held as a series of markets to sell things from my closet. Tiwi's Closet was born.

The brand grew through fashion shows that took place at the university of Liverpool. Now Tiwi's Closet is looking to expand and open an online store to reach a wider clientele. We stock vintage items as well as what we call 'pre-loved' items that reflect the Tiwi's Closet look.

Tiwi's Closet is a young brand for the creative and fashionable young lady. Providing vintage inspired clothing and accessories.

Our aim is to showcase beauty in unexpected places.
