Channeling My inner 1950s Goddess.

 Hello lovelies

I know . I know. It's been more than a week. I am currently living on a no WiFi diet. Why? I am in the process of moving house , sorting out my life and trying to be an independent grown woman.

You guys know I live for vintage and thrifted goodies.

My outfit today is centered around this gorgeous pencil skirt. I got this vintage pencil skirt last year. It was only £1.95 I think. It is very warm and it flatters my figure. It also makes me feel very 1950s. The 1950s were all about being ultra feminine, chic and glamorous. The pencil skirt as we know it today was popularised in the 50s.The brogue wedges give the out fit that modernised vintage edge. Vintage because of the brogue style modern because it's a wedge.

I wore this particular combo on a dreary day. It cheered me up a bit. All the colours, prints and babbles. What more can a girl ask for? Sometimes you need to dress yourself into a good mood.

I believe I am living up to my new years goals :wearing heels during the day . Yes , yes. Although some of you may not consider wedges heels. I do. For me they are the most difficult type of shoe to wear.

What I am wearing

Skirt: Vintage (thirfted)
Fluffy jumper ( Mr Price)
Wedges : Henry Holland
Bag : Zara
Jewlery: Legit, Newlook and RiverIsland

Well I hope you enjoyed this post. I will be keeping you guys as updated as I can. Having no WiFi or photographer will not hold this girl back.

I love era dressing. Might have to look into doing a 1950s modernised Lookbook?

I hope you have a lovely day and weekends.

How to Style : Jumpers with words

slogan jumper
Hello lovelies

So it's been a silent week or two. Today I will be talking about jumpers with words ( Slogan jumpers). A continuing trend this winter is dressing up jumpers with words. Slogan jumpers are an interesting piece to have in your closet. They are versatile. You can dress the up or down and they add a chic playfulness to your outfit. Slogan jumpers are also very quirky in my opinion and a great way to brighten up any winter outfit.

Here are some interesting ways people have styled Slogan jumpers.

Here is how I styled my slogan jumper:

This outfit is inspired by the 80s.

I went for a more casual and comfortable look. Pairing my slightly cropped jumper with some light wash high waist jeans. The 2 inch heel brighten up the look with a pop of pink and glitter. To really take this outfit back to the 80s I added the sketch geek glasses and Egypt motif earring. The Duster coat is for the keeping warm factor but it also adds a chic finish to the outfit along side the mock croc structured bag.

Outfit details

Jeans :Newlook
Shoes: ASOS
Bag :Topshop
Jumper : River Island
Earrings : Topshop
Duster Coat : Primark

Well I did say I would be doing more style/ how to style posts. I hope someone will find this helpful. Do let me know what you think of my new blogging structure.

Next blog post I will be talking about how to style 90s style jeans.

Have a productive week

ootd : Selfie

Happy new year everybody :).

This post is dedicated to my selfie beanie which has received mixed reactions from my loved ones. I love this beanie and it is one of the things I purchased in the 'January sales'. I don't get the hype that people buy into though . It's the same sale as any time of the year and yet people act like clothes, shoes and other stuff is coming to an end and go shopping crazy. It's kind of scary.

Anywho. Today's ootd is very simple. It's my winter uniform. I simply layered a vintage jumper over a black sheer blouse and some jeans. The fur gillet is old and it's thrifted .It only cost me £1.99. uh huh honey ( bound 2 voice). I rolled up my jeans for a cropped look and I'm on the fence about whether I like it or not. The combat boots are also my new found love.  I believe they are on sale at the moment  in Newlook. They come in burgundy ( my colour), black and white and black. The old me would have bought all 3 colours but I've stopped doing that nonsense.

A trend I never thought I'd find myself loving : beanies. I've shyed away from them for the longest time because I thought they would look funny on me .The selfie beanie just called to me and now I'm in love with beanies. This year is going to be the year of growing my hat collection. My look is evolving and I love it. I've also challenged myself this year to wear more heeled shoes. Why? because what's the point in buying shoes you only get to wear once a year. Might as well rent or borrow them.

She was not having any of it

My date and photographer
Well I loved wearing this. Hope you have been inspired.

OOTD: leather , fur and purple lipstick

Hello lovelies

I actually forgot to post this look last weekend. I wore this look on another one of my infamous sister dates with my little sis. This outfit is very shopping / day out friendly. Kept me warm and fuzzy.

I finally found some paneled leather leggings in Dorothy Perkins. So far I love them the only down side is that they are a bit big so they do that bunching up thing. Still love them though. I also finally got those new type cross over blouses. I love this animal print one also from Dorothy Perkins. I want to invest in a black and white stripped one and a white one. You can't go wrong with black and white.

This look is part of my standard everyday winter look.
For anyone interested they are from my charity shop raids. Together they cost £8.50. You guys know that I am all about fashion that doesn't break the bank so I had to get these two. Lately I have been buying a lot of outerwear. Post any body? Surprisingly I haven't found my winter coat yet?

Disclaimer :You will be seeing my fur collar and jacket paired together  a lot.

Well that's all folks. I hope you have a lovely weekend. Mine will be spent working and planning. What about you?
